Neon Panther
I just finished the audio stinger for a indie production house called Neon Panther. Nothing set in stone yet but I may have the chance to work on the audio post for their webseries about a stuggling dj.
Looking forward to it!

Happy New Years!
I suppose I’m a bit late, but I wanted to post a new song I wrote at 4am while visiting Kingston. I had the riff for a while, but the lyrics, melody and arrangment just king of flew out in the middle of the night!
Here’s the soundcloud link- let me know what you think!

Sorry for the over compression, I usually mix it at the end of a long ass day of recording so my ears are quite fatigued.

Well I just had one of those awesome songwriter moments where a song flies out of you. Written in less then an hour is a cool funky tune inspired by no other then David Usselman and his Ragtime band. If you haven’t checked out his music, you might like it. That is if you enjoy talened singer song writers. If you enjoy talentless douches, then continue listening to the weakerthans or broken social scene.
I will have a demo made up as soon as the holidays are over. Ill be trying it on an opener set for Far From Venus’s EP release at the Mansion in Kingston on the 29th. No cover. Hopefully the crowd can tell me what would work in the production and what won’t.
Ill update with photos soon.
Happy Holidays and I hope you got nice things for your girlfriends. I got this song for them in your steed.

ADR finished, now on to the dialog edit
We just got back from the ADR session in Kingston at Zane’s wonderful studio “North of Princess.” I have a fair amount of takes to get through, but everything was well documented. Thanks to Bob, Ila, Toby and Richard for blasting through- it was an excellent session.
I have been toying with the idea of uploading tutorial videos showing some techniques I use in pro tools to speed up my work flow. It could lead to more in depth videos overtime.

Wintersleep’s Hello Hum.

I just bought wintersleeps new album. I am looking forward to hearing it. the last few records were a big let down for me compared to the 2005 record. Upon unboxing, the record is actually a clear vinyl which is actually a huge plus. The single that I heard on the radio sounded interesting so hopefully this will be worth it.
Ducklings and Swans
That was the title of Nick Arnolds script back in the day. I enjoyed the script when I read it and wrote a song with the same title. I will have a link below to listen to a demo that I finished recently.
We are heading back to Kingston in November to do a much needed ADR session for Nick’s film William’s Lullaby (although my production name for it is Bill’s Lull). It took some time to do the Dialog Edit as I was in the middle of moving to Toronto amongst other things.
Our goal is fairly aggressive- we need to do ADR, Foley, Sound Design, Soundtrack, and the Re-recording mix before December.
